Educational Programs & Artist Residencies

Abstract painting of a girl   VSA/NJ collaborates with schools and organizations to offer programming that meets the specific needs of children and adults with disabilities. Options include artist residencies, after school workshops, and weekend enrichment opportunities.

Artist residencies provide students with opportunities to learn from artists whose professional backgrounds and teaching expertise lead to exceptional classroom experiences. Working in collaboration with classroom teachers, artists create programs that are connected to and reinforce the school curriculum.
As VSA arts of New Jersey is committed to ensuring that all students have access to high caliber arts education, programs are designed to meet the needs of students with disabilities. Most programs also are available for regular education classrooms.
